Community Resources

a few places to find help if you ever need it

Find what you're looking for

If you are in a life threatening situation, please call 911 or the 24h National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1 (800) 273-8255. You matter, you are enough, and you are not alone. You are never alone.

Asking for help isn't always easy, so we're incredibly proud of your for bravely seeking support. We've compiled a database of organizations and programs in the area (unaffiliated with St. John's) that offer support services.

If you don't know where to start, we recommend calling 211 —a confidential 24/7 service provided by United Way Rhode Island. Trained operators will listen to your situation and connect you with resources that can help.

You can also search our resource database. Select a category from the list below to view relevant resources or click All to see everything that's available. Some resources are subject to eligibility restrictions and we've done our best to note that (with a black tab on the corner) when possible.

We're here

If you're looking for spiritual support, we're always here. You can anonymously request a prayer on this page or you can contact us directly and arrange to speak with our Rector,  Fr. Patrick (he also holds office hours at the Starbucks in Barrington on Wednesdays from 11:30-noon). Our congregation is around on Sundays, if you just want to stop by and just feel the support of a community.
