- Joseph Browne, Junior Warden
Our family has lived in Barrington for the past 8 years. My wife, Laura and I have 2 sons. Finding St. John's
was one of the best thing that has happened to us since we moved here. I travel around the USA every
week and get to meet lots of different people in many places. This allows me to have a lot of perspective
about how blessed we are to live in Barrington. I have enjoyed teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders Sunday
School for the last 4 years. I am a member of Beyond Our Walls and like how it allows us to contribute
service with others who have aligned values in the local community across diverse denomenational borders.
I am passionate about protecting the environment and working at Seventh Generation allows me to live my
values and make a difference for current and future generations. "Children are the world's greatest resource and our best hope for the future."
- Andrew Faulkner, Treasurer
Andrew and Deb Faulkner have been members at St. John's since moving to Barrington in 2001. For
Andrew, this was a return to the town and parish where he grew up, was baptized and served as an
acolyte. Since returning, Andrew has served on the church's Finance Commission and serves as a lay reader.
Andrew has been employed at Citizens Bank for over seven years. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red
Sox make the greatest comeback in baseball history to defeat the New York Yankees and then go on to win the World Series.
- Phyllis McClelland, Secretary
I joined St. John's Church in 1952 when my family (Philip and Catherine Green and sister Joan) moved from
Riverside where we attended St. Mark's Episcopal, hence a cradle Episcopalian. Like many my age, our
fathers were serving in the war and we were not baptized until we were older. I was therefore baptized, confirmed and married here at St. John's.
I worked as a Sunday School teacher while in high school and again when my children were young, as well
as served as a chapel leader. I worked with the youth group (prior to the hiring of a youth director). I have
worked on many committees, rummage sales, Candlelight and Shrove Tuesday suppers. I have been serving on the Altar Guild for the past 14 years and am a cook for John's Meals.
My husband Jim was also raised at St. John's when his family moved here in 1956. We have two grown
children, Mandy and her husband Joe Pitcavage and son Ted, as well as a one year old granddaughter, Anna Catherine Pitcavage. I continue to work full-time as a medical transcriptionist.
- Tom Billups
Tom Billups has been an active parishioner at St. John's Episcopal Church since 1992, and served on the
property commission for four years. He currently serves as a chalice bearer at the 7:30 am Sunday service.
Tom recently completed the "Safe-Church" training provided by the diocese in preparation for becoming a
Lay Eucharistic Visitor. Tom is married to Felice Billups, and they have a daughter Moriah, who is a
Freshman at Barrington High School. Tom is a civil/geotechnical engineer and is employed at GZA
GeoEnvironmental, Inc. in Providence. His extra-curricular interests include attending his daughter's dance events, photography, woodworking, and bread making.

were growing up in the church, as well as when she was in high school. She was the Children's Chapel
Coordinator when there was a Children's Chapel. She has served on the Altar Guild and is currently serving
on the Flower Guild. She has volunteered at Encore for the past three years inputting data. Pattie and
Leeds also usher at the 11:00 am service. Pattie moved to Bristol two years ago, leaving her homestead
Barrington. She is a CASA volunteer and loves sailing and gardening. She has three grown children: Chip, Matthew and Joy.

- Ann Piper
I grew up in Barrington and was baptised and confirmed at St. John's. My family and I returned to
Barrington and St. John's in 2001. Over the years, we have participated in teaching church school, flower delivery, ushering and children's choir.
Currently, my husband, Greg, is on the Search Committee. Our daughters, Julia and Erin, are acolytes and I am a church school co-teacher.
I work part time at my family's business here in Barrington. My passion at St. John's is working with children and I look forward to serving on the Vestry.
